Overview

TRC is seeking an experiencedConstruction Safety Specialistto join our Exton, PA Office. The position requires a strong technical background, project management skills and a solid reputation of building, maintaining key client relationships and a strong interest in business development. The position will focus on providing compliance and performance improvement services to support the Safety and Industrial Hygiene Practice.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the safety of client and TRC employees, subcontractors, and the public.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of project-specific safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and project-specific safety and health programs as well as federal, state, and local safety standards.
  • Conduct site safety audits.
  • Investigate and correct incidents and near misses.
  • Manage client projects.
  • Interact with clients and maintain relationships.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Travel as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational safety and health or directly related discipline preferred.
  • 5 years or more of full-time experience in construction safety project execution and health and safety leadership.
  • 10 years of verifiable field-based safety experience in the construction, demolition, remediation, and power sector(s) will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification:
    • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Experience developing and implementing strict health and safety protocols.
  • Preferred Training and Certification:
    • OSHA 30 Hour Construction
    • OSHA 500 Construction Industry Outreach Trainer
    • Initial HAZWOPER 40-Hour certification with evidence of subsequent annual HAZWOPER 8-Hour Refresher training certificates or documented evidence of equivalent training as defined in 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(9).
    • HAZOPWER Supervisor (8 Hr.) certification
    • DOT HM-181 HAZMAT Employee Training
    • NFPA 70E
    • Confined space training (entrant/attendant/supervisor)
    • Fall protection/prevention training
    • Excavation awareness training
    • Current First Aid/CPR certification

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
