Job Description

General Statement of Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for administering the general accounting procedures and policies in the plant within the scope of the Corporate guidelines and requirements. Provide the needed daily, weekly, and monthly reports to administration needed for decision making.

Essential Duties (Other duties may be assigned as necessary)



  1. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure they comply with accounting principles and regulations (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
  2. Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. This includes journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
  3. Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies. This includes reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
  4. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure audit trails are clear and financial records are prepared for review.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to prepare and manage the company's budgets. Monitor financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
  6. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  7. Provide insightful financial analysis to management, identifying trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas of concern that require attention.
  8. Supervise accounting staff, guiding their work, providing training, and ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  9. Recommend and help implement improvements in accounting systems, processes, and technologies to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  10. Ensure that all company assets are accurately recorded in the asset register and that all new fixed asset purchases are promptly recorded with complete documentation and supporting details.
  11. Support the Plant quality systems/goals and productivity improvements/goals within the scope of the job.
  12. Support the Plant safety programs/goals within the scope of the job.
  13. Regular and predictable attendance.
  14. Compliance with applicable Company, Corporate, State, and Federal regulations.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Experience in general accounting tasks such as financial reporting, ledger management, and account reconciliation is essential. Direct experience working with fixed assets, depreciation, tax compliance, and budgeting/forecasting is highly valued. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel (advanced functions like pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).

Language, Math & Reading requirements:

Language - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and to respond to questions.

Math - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions. Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in oral, written, diagram form and to deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Physicals - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment - The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Starting Wage : Base starting wage is $65,000 - $75,000/annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to: job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At NTN, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
