Position Summary
The Area Sales Representative is a key ambassador for TTCU's indirect lending program, fostering long-term, trusting relationships with indirect dealers and business partners. This role focuses on building and nurturing these relationships to promote TTCU as the lender of choice. The representative ensures that all partners are fully educated and supported in navigating the program, while also conducting a thorough review of loan applications. The role also plays an important part in helping to refine and improve the program to ensure mutual growth and success for all stakeholders. Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
* Relationship Building:
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing indirect program dealers, managers, and decision-makers. Serve as the trusted point of contact, providing ongoing support, advice, and insights. Identify opportunities to expand these relationships through strategic introductions and recommendations.
* Collaboration with Partners:
Work closely with new and potential dealerships, providing guidance on how to participate in the indirect lending program. Offer recommendations and solutions to help promote and grow the program in a way that benefits both TTCU and the dealer.
* Education & Support:
Provide tailored training sessions for participating dealers, merchants, and TTCU staff, ensuring everyone is aligned on the system, underwriting policies, and best practices. Offer consistent, supportive feedback and troubleshooting to resolve challenges and ensure the program's success.
* Problem-Solving & Negotiation:
Act as a problem-solver when issues arise, addressing concerns with indirect dealers in a collaborative and solution-oriented manner. Your role will involve managing and resolving concerns to maintain a positive partnership with all involved.
* Market Insight & Strategy:
Analyze industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor practices to identify opportunities for growth and new business development. Share insights with TTCU leadership to refine and adapt programs in response to market demands, ensuring the indirect lending program remains competitive.
* Loan Application Review & Funding Support:
Review loan applications submitted through TTCU's Loan Origination Software, working with processors to ensure timely and effective funding. Help refine underwriting practices and policies to better serve both the business and the members.
Minimum Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.
* Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Certificates/Licenses:
* Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
* A clean driving record is required, with an annual MVR check for compliance.
Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in banking or credit unions, with exposure to operations and terminology.
* 3+ years of experience in marketing, financial institutions, or related fields.
* 3+ years of sales and member service experience, with a focus on relationship management.
Additional Requirements
Job Knowledge:
* Familiarity with TTCU's lending systems, including Loan Origination Software, preferred.
* Understanding of contract law.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Edge, Teams, and Outlook).
* Ability to quickly learn proprietary systems such as Core System, Imaging Software, Expense Reporting, and Microsoft Teams Calling.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate, collaborate, and present information to groups.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build, nurture, and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners.

* Skilled at facilitating member focus groups and public consumer testing to gather valuable feedback.
