LAUNDRY ATTENDANT ($18.63/hr.)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Loads articles into washer to specific guidelines after proper sorting and weighing has been done.
• Sets the machine to the proper cycle which allows the proper chemical to flow into the machine.
• Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and places them successively into dryers for measured time cycles.
• Folds and places items in appropriate areas.
• Sweeps, mops and dusts laundry room. Stocks and organizes shelves.
• Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par. Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
• Be familiar with the operating procedures of all other areas of the hotel, cooperating fully and in a friendly manner with those areas to assure customer satisfaction.
• Be a Team Player and encourage the teamwork attitude among staff.
• Attends department meetings.
• Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities.
• Be knowledgeable in all hotel emergency procedures.
• Ensure areas are free of safety hazards and performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Work cooperatively and professionally with co-workers and leads.
• Other housekeeping duties as assigned.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a full service hotel or related field preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally, and 25 pounds frequently. Constantly kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and be able to work with other seamlessly.
• Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules including weekends and holidays.
