Additional Job Description: The West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and WVUSchool of Medicine seeks a Neurologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate
ProfessororProfessor) for its School of Medicine Eastern Division regional campus. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Martinsburg, WV and Ranson, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of neurology. In addition to providing patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degreeor foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Successful candidate must have completed an ACGME certified neurology residency program and must be board certified/eligible in Neurology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Successful candidates will join an academically oriented, supportive, collegial group with a focus on evidence-based medicine, progressive teaching, and research. The general neurology practice sees a wide variety of neurologic conditions, including epilepsy/seizure disorders, stroke, chronic headaches/migraines, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, and Alzheimer's disease. Opportunities also exist to develop subspecialty interests.West Virginia University Medicine is very supportive of the use of Advance Practice Providers to enhance patient care and has outstanding clinical and administrative support staff to maximize the day-to-day operations of the office.
