Financial Analyst This position requires an active Secret clearance. A Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and report on financial data, support government reporting requirements, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires strong analytical, reporting, and collaboration skills to help optimize program financial performance. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Financial Analyst: $90,000 to $95,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Financial Analyst Responsibilities Include:
- Analyze program financial data, including budgets, forecasts, and actual costs, to provide actionable insights.
- Maintain and update financial models to support program management and decision-making.
- Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders and government customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), company policies, and DoD-specific reporting requirements.
- Monitor and analyze contract performance to identify potential risks or variances.
- Support contract modifications and funding requests with financial data and justifications.
- Track obligations, expenditures, and revenues to ensure contract profitability and compliance.
- Use Navy ERP or other government financial systems to manage financial transactions and reporting.
- Participate in audits and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all financial activities.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Contracts teams to provide financial guidance and support.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Financial Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of financial analysis experience in a government contracting environment.
- Experience with Navy ERP or other government financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Costpoint, GFEBS).
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government cost principles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- CPA, CFA, or CDFM certification is a plus.
- Experience with government reporting tools and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles is a plus.
