Job Summary

Join our Trade Compliance team and play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient import and export operations. You'll support a range of compliance-related functions, from audit processes to cross-functional project collaboration, while driving improvements in systems, processes, and record-keeping practices.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in post-entry audits, review customs declarations ensuring accuracy and compliance with import/export regulations. Coordinate post-entry corrections.
  • Provide HTS/ECCN classification for a diverse product portfolio while maintaining classification justification. Continuously monitor and research changes in regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Act as the key point of contact for freight forwarders and customs brokers, troubleshooting challenges, responding to inquiries, and resolving shipment-related issues efficiently.
  • Monitor, research and action restricted/denied party screening results for business partners. Maintain trade compliance record-keeping files with precision.
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, processes and guidance, always looking for ways to optimize and automate trade compliance processes.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of exciting customs-related projects.
  • Review and prepare Customs Brokerage Expense Reports for North America and assist with accounts payable processes.
  • Create essential export documentation, such as Certificates of Origin, Shipper's Letters of Instruction, and AES filings.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 1 + year in global logistics, freight forwarding, or customs brokerage.
  • Experience with Customs Classification (HTS) is highly desirable.
  • SAP S4 Hana or Global Trade Services (GTS) experience is a plus.
  • Certifications as a Certified Export Specialist (CES) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) would be advantageous.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across teams.
  • Bonus: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
