Job Summary

Responsible for planning and purchasing materials and ensuring timely delivery, in the right quantity and quality, to support ZOLL production needs, as well as make indirect expense buys and assist with general purchasing duties.

Essential Functions

• Assist Purchasing team members with tasks as needed
• Responsible for planning and placing purchase orders for assigned listed parts/components/assemblies based on cost, lead time, ECO changes, and complexity of the items.
• Work with Oracle system and MRP for assigned items.
• Generate and issue Requisitions and Purchase Orders per company S.O.P.'s, compliancy, and standards.
• Action MRP messages to support ideal inventory and safety stock levels.
• Communicate with suppliers and maintain purchase order dates and pricing adherence.
• Communicate with other departments on material status and delivery dates of shortages.
• Responsible for supplier on-time delivery performance/adherence.
• Maintain items/materials and MRP fields to support ideal inventory, safety stock levels, and accurate MRP calculations.
• Support Engineering and SQE with engineering changes and quality.
• Managing and organizing all materials related to vendor returns. This includes overseeing the return process, ensuring the correct items are returned, tracking inventory, and maintaining proper documentation.
• Demonstrates trustworthiness and professionalism with suppliers, management, peers, and team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous experience as a Buyer or Planner preferred
• APICS Certification Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good knowledge of MRP systems, Oracle preferred
• Strong communications skills - verbal, written and presentation
• Ability to work autonomously, effectively managing time and delivering results on time
• Strong people skills - ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
• Strong follow-up skills - ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Skilled on Microsoft Office Products - Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint

The pay range for this position is 79,000 - 90,000 per year. The compensation may vary outside of this range depending on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
