Cafe Lead / Short Order Cook Apply Online Support the efforts of the Cafe Manager to ensure the Cafe is a community space for employees to eat and relax away from their desks. Lead the cafe team in ensuring thedaily tasks of preparing food and maintaining the cafe are balanced with interacting with customers. Work with the Manager to prepare the menu and the ordering of the food. Run the cafe in the manager's absence.This position requires a work schedule of Monday-Friday 5:30am to 2:00pm. Location Falmouth, Maine \| Yarmouth, Maine Travel 0-5% Responsibilities Prepare breakfast, lunch, and catering items according to the day's menu Ensure that the cafe is set up and broken down correctly at the end of each day and that the space is clean and inviting, using the cleaning checklist as a guide Run the cafe when manager is absent Assist with the purchase of food and supplies Maintain the walk-ins in a clean and orderly fashion Ensure temperatures and quality of food are up to state regulations Oversee the cafe floor and restocking Assign kitchen duties as needed to staff Other duties as assigned Qualifications 3 years' experience in a retail food service environment Experience as a team lead in a food service setting desired High school diploma or equivalent Ability to navigate around a computer; comfortable using Microsoft products and email Taking Care of You & Your Family Your health and well-being are important to us.
