At Plante Moran, we have the privilege of serving clients and providing consultative services as they face challenges and seek new opportunities. Our rapid growth and increasing demand for our services has created a need for a highly motivated and agile individual to join our Management Consulting team as a Coordinator in our Talent & Organizational Development (TOD) practice in our Southfield office.

The TOD team consists of consulting professionals trained in advanced psychology and organizational development to provide the insights into human behavior that clients need to make important decisions. For more than 60 years, we've helped organizations optimize performance by proactively addressing their challenges, opportunities, and objectives as they pertain to human capital. TOD Coordinators support the practice that serves clients, both internally and externally.

Your role.

The TOD Coordinator works in tandem with the TOD team (partner, consultants, coordinator) to provide day-to-day support for the practice unit within the management consulting function at Plante Moran. Work activities include preparing client deliverables, proposals, engagement letters, monthly billing, monthly reporting, basic administrative duties such as calendaring, travel arrangements, and correspondences. This position also acts as a coordinator to support TOD's assessment services the practice provides to internal (the firm) and external clients. Position will play a role in supporting the execution of projects, programs, and/or processes.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • TOD Firm Services and PM Talent Solutions inbox management - processing assessment requests and other inquiries Firm Services and PM Talent Solutions inbox management - processing assessment requests and other inquiries
  • Assessment services support - collecting consent, assessment administration, scheduling interviews, compiling assessment results, drafting assessment reports, monitoring testing completion, etc.
  • Consistently communicate with PM's recruiting team on the tracking and completion of internal assessments with
  • external candidates.
  • External organizational development support - coordination of internal and engagement-related meetings; providing support to compilation of engagement deliverables.
  • Assist with various practice administration tasks like TOD monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Assist with the management of vendor and client communications and other deliverables
  • Performance management support - scheduling career planning sessions and applicable prep meetings; preparing applicable performance data for the team partner and staff
  • SharePoint management - initiating new site workflows, providing access to site to applicable staff, IT resource for site inquiries
  • Provide compliance support at the firm and practice level to team partner
  • Assist with client relationship management (in the WYN system) for respective team members, including various required reports from the system
  • Assist partner with various day-to-day responsibilities including scheduling and maintaining calendars, expense and production reports, organizing/processing billing, scheduling prospect calls, making travel arrangements, and making various other reservations (lunch, dinner, etc.)
  • Schedule and organize various meetings, including reserving and setting up of conference rooms (coffee, water, meals, etc.), needed equipment for conference calls.Distribute agendas, project lists, minutes, and reports in preparation of meetings, when appropriate.

The qualifications.

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent required. Higher level of education/college coursework preferred.
  • At least 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in professional services; operations experience a plus.
  • Client service (to both internal and external clients) is a high priority.
  • Proven organizational, administrative, and time management skills with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced atmosphere; perform well under uncertain or unstructured conditions (agility); self-driven within a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Highly proactive with superior oral and written communication skills and a focus on client service, together with the ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative while maintaining high confidentiality.
  • Solid technical proficiency and in-depth knowledge of MS Office applications (particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand the demands of a professional office environment, including the willingness to adopt a reasonable and professional appearance in terms of dress, attitude, and conduct.
  • Versatile within a team environment - maintaining teamwork, credibility, and trust.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with partners, staff, clients, and other visitors.

This is a non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

Salary Class

Hourly
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience is provided in accordance with applicable state requirement. Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO or IL. Please review theposition location for theapplicable geographic location.
