Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Payroll Systems Analyst.

In this role, the successful candidate in this position will be responsible for configuration of PeopleSoft HCM payroll-related setups, including implementing and testing of system changes. This encompasses all aspects of Foundation and Product-related configurations, as well as a thorough understanding of payroll-related database tables. Responsibilities include the creation of queries and reports to assist the department and areas outside Payroll as needed. This role will work closely with the Payroll Systems Manager to support new and existing processes and systems initiatives. The ideal candidate can thrive in a fast-paced changing environment and should have the ability to foster relationships by establishing and working collaboratively within the department.

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in evaluation and redesign of internal processes as necessary.
Control and update PeopleSoft configuration for Foundation and Product related tables.
Create and update queries and schedule them as needed.
Identify proper inclusions/exclusions for benefits and tax periodic reporting. Work with benefits and tax team members to ensure proper testing and documentation of updates. Communicate changes to appropriate individuals.
Create detailed functional and technical design documents, test plans, and test cases.
Work with business users and the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
Ensure that the day-to-day operations for the PeopleSoft system users are adequately supported.
Perform troubleshooting related to the maintenance of PeopleSoft and other ancillary systems related to Payroll Processing.
Work with technical staff to develop custom extensions to integrated business applications when needed.
Identify, evaluate, analyze and recommend changes to support process improvements.
Perform other job-related duties as required.
Efficiently organize and manage tasks/projects.
Communicate clearly and concisely with customers in a professional and timely manner.
Demonstrate creative thinking when seeking alternative solutions to process challenges and issues.
Respect and maintain confidentiality of all information within NYU Langone Health

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) Required.
2 or more years' of relevant experience Required.
The MyTime Systems Analyst should exhibit sound knowledge of the MyTime/Kronos Pay Policies component. In addition, he/she should maintain pay practices/policies as configured and configurable for all union and non-union employees. The MyTime Systems Analyst should have subject matter analytical ability to address matters of moderate to high complexity related to Payroll Policies and MyTime Configuration. A penchant for creative problem solving and troubleshooting is preferred. The MyTime Systems Analyst must have strong written and verbal communication skills and should proactively monitor customer satisfaction and the quality of the services provided. He/she should demonstrate skills to meet and exceed the needs of his/her customers.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) Required. Minimum of 2 or more years of relevant experience required. Proficient in PeopleSoft functional tables and query writing. Strong analytical ability to address moderate to high complexity issues related to Payroll policies and PeopleSoft configuration. Creative problem solving and troubleshooting skills are preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to proactively monitor customer satisfaction and the quality of services provided. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed customer needs.
Two (2) years of related Kronos experience preferred. FPC or CPP preferred. Familiarity with related HRIS and Finance enterprise systems

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $84,270.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
