Segra is searching for a dynamic and experienced Managed Services Engineer.

Role Overview:

Managed Services Engineer - Voice is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of Segra Voice products and solutions. MSE-Voice will work with cross-functional teams including project managers, voice, and data engineering teams to support project and installation including the provisioning, implementation, turn-up, troubleshooting of TDM, Converged PRI, SIP, and Hosted Voice products. MSE-Voice will support Segra functional teams as part of the installation schedule. This position will also support Managed Services as part of an on-call rotation. This position requires a strong working knowledge of Broadsoft, META, and Rev.io Odin provisioning platforms. Strong interpersonal and soft skills are essential, and the MSE-Voice will collaborate one-on-one with customers and vendors during installations. Additional responsibilities include supporting product and service installations for an initial 72-hour window.

Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Voice to include VOIP, SIP, TDM, and/or Converged.
  • Must have experience with VOIP and SIP.
  • Must have some experience with META.
  • Must have an understanding of LAN/WAN protocols and principles.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong interpersonal/soft skills (customer facing)
  • Someone with the ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ideally, we would like for this person to have Broadsoft experience.


  • Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Information Technology/Information Systems, or related industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or professional level technical/engineering industry experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) competencies and best practices.
  • Experience in the development/configuration and support of Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) solutions.
  • Experience responding to customer service requests by collaborating one-on-one with customers and vendors.
  • Trouble resolution and documentation in ticketing platform
  • Provide support for Product Management teams relating to Segra Voice products, including adherence to process and change control guidelines.
  • VOIP - Hosted IP Voice design, configuration, and implementation
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN protocols and principles
  • Telephony competencies: TDM T1 programming, converged PRI, and SIP
  • META, Explorer, SAS, Hammer Trace, Omnipeek, Wireshark and other packet capture software
  • Routing and porting of numbers
  • Problem-solving, technical skills (advanced product knowledge), solution development
  • Technical experience/troubleshooting skills required for problem resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary
