Overview

Position Description - Sample accessioning, documentation and reporting - DNA and RNA isolation from various biological materials - Quality control of isolated nucleic acids (OD measurements, Agilent, qPCR) - NGS library preparation and quality control (qPCR, Agilent/TapeStation) - Be comfortable with learning new NGS library preparation techniques as needed - Planning and execution of analyses, documentation of results - General laboratory activities such as laboratory maintenance, equipment maintenance and ordering materials - Carrying out repetitive laboratory tasks and processing large numbers of samples Position Requirements - BS in biology with minimum 2 years of laboratory experience - Current Molecular biology laboratory experience is preferred - Minimum 1 year experience in nucleic acid isolation techniques, PCR, high throughput sample processing - Experience with NGS preferred - Must be comfortable with processing large numbers of samples in a given timeframe and constant use of pipettes - Experience in working under ISO9001 or other QA environments desirable - Good computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Must be able to communicate/write well in English Personal Requirements - High degree of responsibility, commitment and flexibility is a must - Integrity in work process is a must - Ability to work well in a team, positive attitude, good communication skills - Good observation skills, Precision working and quality in work - Experience in Independent planning of work schedule is preferred What we offer At the heart of QIAGEN are our people who drive our success.
