Lead Material Handler - Administrative - Night Shift- Distribution Center environment

Location: Salt Lake City, UT, USA - 1900 S 4490 W

Shift: Sunday: 5:00pm - 1:30am, Monday through Thursday: 5:30pm - 2am- Shift subject to change based on needs of the business. OT mandatory when required

Eligible for a $1.50/hr shift differential on top of base pay.

Full-time, permanent. Benefit eligible (dental, health, 401K and more).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct orientation and complete onboarding process for all nightshift Material Handlers.

  • Present any necessary required training to all associates.

  • Perform order releasing responsibilities.

  • Process data entry nightly for leadership team. (Microsoft Office 365).

  • Manage and track attendance for associates and communicate to nightshift leaders on any attendance occurrences (per the attendance policy).

  • Perform periodic audits to keep all areas compliant.

  • Monitor communication needed for off-site support (web cases like HR/ER/IT etc.).

  • Update and distribute documents (job aides) needed throughout the warehouse.

  • Assist with event planning (coordinate and organize supplies and agenda as needed)

  • Ability to perform all positions in the warehouse within LMS and company standards.

  • Train individuals for the following functions: inventory, receiving, picking, packing, quality control, sorting, loading, and replenishment functions.

  • Communicate trainee's needs and concerns with Management and fellow Lead Material Handlers.

  • Cover on the line when required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5 years of progressive and related experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. Internal employees must have at least 1 year of experience with McKesson to qualify

  • Some leadership experience is strongly preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead individuals, explain/train processes, as well as create and follow through on SOP's

  • Confident and clear presentation skills.

  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, MS Teams) with calendar management experience.

  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot office hardware.

  • Exposure to AS400 and SAP would be considered a strong asset

  • Power Equipment (Pallet Rider, Reach Truck, Tugger) experience would be an asset. Location is willing to train and person selected must be able to maintain certifications

  • Understand, practice and explain SOPs/Local Work Rules for Material Handlers.

  • Passion and commitment to the success of our team and individuals. Must be able to fill in on the line if required.

  • Excellent organization and prioritization with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; remaining calm and proactive

  • Provide feedback to improve and maintain the proper training and support of our DC.

  • Always demonstrates ICARE & ILEAD principals.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Ability to be stay on feet while walking 8 hours or more.

  • Ability to stay seated for a period of 8 hours or more.

$17.63 - $29.39
