Our Medical Informatics team plays a crucial role in this mission, and we are looking for a talented Advanced Application Analyst to join us. This is a remote position for candidates residing in Florida, with up to 20% of work hours required on-site at a Lee Health location on occasion. Role Overview: As a Medical Informatics Advanced Application Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing provider quality and efficiency through technology. You will empower providers to leverage the Epic EHR for an optimized experience, serving as a subject matter expert on assigned projects and department initiatives. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, you will enhance and optimize healthcare IT systems, including the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR), and serve as a liaison between Lee Health Providers, Information Systems, Lee Health Leadership, and Medical Staff Leaders. Your expertise will extend beyond the Epic EHR to other IT systems impacting patient care providers. You will demonstrate exceptional professionalism, customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills are essential for recognizing and resolving complex issues. You must be able to work independently with general supervision while maintaining a collaborative team-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute functional system and program specifications using structured methodologies.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills to identify and resolve complex issues, gather information systematically, and make informed decisions.
- Facilitate and maintain relationships between appropriate IT physician and end users.
- Lead and coordinate small to medium projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality parameters are met.
- Oversee the build, support, testing, and implementation efforts related to Physician Technology.
- Own provider requests, collaborating with IT application build teams to provide input and feedback on enhancements, Epic build, and troubleshooting.
- Integrate clinical and workflow knowledge of the Acute Care setting with a high-level understanding of the Epic EHR and other relevant clinical IT systems to provide optimal support.
- Champion the EHR using Medical Informatics metrics and patient care tools to demonstrate meaningful use of the electronic health record by medical staff.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships and communications with leaders, technical/application teams, and external customers.
- Assume other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelors degree is preferred, or at least 5 years of directly applicable experience.
- Experience:

- 5 years of IT and/or Epic use related experience in a clinical or informatics role.
- Epic Certification in Clinical Documentation, Ambulatory, or Orders preferred or willingness to obtain accredited status in an application within 3 months of start date.
- Foundational understanding of medical terminology and provider workflows.
- Additional Preferences:

- Critical Care Experience.
- Direct patient clinical experience (Nursing, Case Management, Therapy, etc.).
- Experience with AI systems such as predictive modeling, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
- Understanding of clinical decision support systems.
