Job Description

This position is expected to lead and assist in vitro phenotyping of gene-edited cells, tissues, and animals.

Responsibilities:

30% Establish and maintain important porcine primary cell and tissue cultures

30% Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, Western Blotting, immunofluorescence

25% Design experiments, analyze data, and interpret results

15% Coordinate activities with graduate students and post docs from multiple labs and agencies

As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University of Missouri.

Shift

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $81,744 Commensurate with experience and organizational requirements.
Grade: GGS-9E
University Title: Senior Research Specialist
