C3BM Intermediate Systems Engineer (BCE)
Contingent upon prime contractor approval
Purpose:


  • Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a C3BM Intermediate Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL. Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs. Systems engineering tasking includes participation in reviews and assessments of C2BMC engineering products and documentation. Collaboration with MDS stakeholders is required to prepare C2BMC engineering products as part of the engineering objectives documentation and analysis processes. Other activities include participation in engineering meetings, presenting engineering product development updates, providing analysis and failure review summaries, and making recommendations.



Job Description:


  • Support C3BM M&S development including the BCM, Federated Model, and CADE. Coordinate Flight Test Predictive Analysis to assess C2BMC system performance.
  • Evaluate C3BM modeling Increments and initiatives. Provide coordination for Enterprise M&S activities.
  • Provide systems engineering support to validate C3BM models used to assess system capabilities and limitations and inform development of MDS analysis capability provided to the Warfighter.
  • Provide input on measures used to validate models, evaluate test cases to ensure performance adequately assessed, interpret test results to identify problems and impact to overall system capability, provide developer and MDA/BC Project Office feedback on sensor model algorithms, and research.
  • Provide recommendations on model improvement opportunities that will have the most impact to the overall system performance.


Qualifications


  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Must have familiarity/algorithm knowledge of C2BMC capabilities, and any models/simulations skills
  • Must have Python, MATLAB, Visual Basic, supporting simulation environment evaluations, a plus
  • Must have familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts


Desired Qualifications


  • Engineering Degree, preferred.
  • Apply network engineering and solutions to support real-world test, integration, and operations, preferred.
  • Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, preferred.
  • Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment, preferred.


Security Requirements:


  • Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.


Travel Requirements:


  • Up to 10%
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to work in an office environment
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
