Overview
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Services Director to provide oversight and development of policies and procedures as well as management of federal awards for emerging initiatives. This position will be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are documented and maintained to achieve compliance and best operating practices for the Department. This Director will be responsible for establishing processes and procedures for management of federal grants from initiation to closeout including procurement of goods and services. This position will work closely with DMV Leadership in the development and maintenance of policies and procedure, which requires have strong communication skills as well as the ability to work independently. Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND one (1) year or more of professional-level experience performing and supervising (directly or indirectly) administrative functions for a moderate sized office, department or agency. OR Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND three (3) years or more of professional-level experience performing and supervising (directly or indirectly) administrative functions for a moderate sized office, department or agency. OR Bachelor's degree AND five (5) years or more of professional-level experience performing and supervising (directly or indirectly) administrative functions for a moderate sized office, department or agency. OR Two years of full-time college coursework or associate's degree AND seven (7) years or more of professional-level experience performing and supervising (directly or indirectly) administrative functions for a moderate sized office, department or agency. OR High School diploma or equivalent AND nine (9) years or more of professional-level experience performing and supervising (directly or indirectly) administrative functions for a moderate sized office, department or agency. OR One (1) year or more of experience as an Administrative Services Manager III with the State of Vermont. Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required. Total Compensation
