Georgia Pacific is seeking a Performance Development Leader at our Plywood Facility in Dudley, NC. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the development of the hourly employees' capabilities who reporting to them and manages all aspects of their performance. This leader will have a general understanding of plywood plant operations and will be accountable for their team's performance and capability. A successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skill. The Performance Development Leader must be able to promote constructive challenge skills at all levels. Must have the ability to stay current in best practices and be a positive change agent, including collaboration skills with the ability to engage teams. The Performance Development Leader is responsible for improving retention, new employee operational skills, and new employee safety. What You Will Do
* Lead and mentor employees with behaviors and actions that advance our Principle Based Management (PBM) culture and the organizational vision.
* Coach, lead, mentor and develop employees to continuously improve their knowledge and skills, and performance to create long-term value.
* Encourage and incentivize knowledge sharing and transfer between team members and other facility Performance Development Leader.
* Work and communicate with department managers and supervisors, and others to identify and address performance and knowledge gaps.
* Manage individual performance and hold individuals accountable for their results through vision setting, one-on-one conversations, and performance feedback.
* Provide resources to help team members develop their own careers and realize their full potential while becoming increasingly self-actualized.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Three (3) or more years of experience leading people including completing performance reviews, setting expectations, and holding people accountable.
* Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience or military experience.

What Will Put You Ahead
* Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management.
* Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant with responsibility for direct reports.
* Experience working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
