Purpose:

Supervise, administrate and direct assigned station and station personnel in accordance with company policy and procedures as directed by corporate management and published company manuals and documents. Responsible for the Personnel work, performance, materials, training, and organization at their assigned station. Reports to the Station Manager, or in their absence, reports to the Regional Line Maintenance Manager.


Job Functions:

  • Manage, supervise and assess all personnel assigned by management to ensure the continued airworthiness of Company aircraft in accordance with FARs, Company manuals and documents while remaining responsible to budget through coordination of aircraft and personnel scheduling.
  • Closely monitor all required maintenance procedures, materials research/procurement, documentation/re-certification of performed maintenance and inspections are accomplished by subordinates utilizing all applicable company manuals, directives and forms within the limitation of the FAA certificate and company qualifications held.
  • Ensure that communication from assigned station is continually maintained with management and Maintenance Control as required. Ensure all aircraft and station related issues are communicated as necessary to include but not limited to verbal, email, company reports and forms.
  • Act as company liaison at assigned station with, but not limited to, FAA, Flight crews, Customer, Office/Property leaser and Vendors.
  • Ensure that the assigned station has adequate personnel, facilities, inventory, tooling, technical literature, training and support equipment necessary to support the aircraft and station. Provide all necessary feedback to management of deficient areas and assist with all recommendations and directives to implement corrections. Support, train, and mentor maintenance representatives, Led mechanics, and A&P mechanics at their assigned station.
  • Provide assistance in the accomplishment and proper reporting of all required station audits/reviews to include but not limited to aircraft maintenance, aircraft records, company manuals, housekeeping, support equipment, company inventories, office, warehouse, workstations and ramp space.
  • Remain current and responsible to all revisions and changes to company policies, procedures and programs as applicable to position.
  • Document all On the Job Training (OJT) and attend all company training classes as assigned by the department manager. Provide training to station personnel in areas of qualifications and authorizations.
  • Perform all additional tasks assigned or delegated by management.


Position Requirements:



  • High school diploma
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Power plant license
  • Two (2) years of experience in heavy transport aircraft maintenance
  • Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience, preferably in aircraft maintenance environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) with company, vendor, customer, and agency personnel
  • Ability to type on PC, and moderately proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-mail
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and hours at a moment's notice
  • Must hold and maintain a valid US Passport


Preferred Job Skills:



  • Associates degree in a business related discipline preferred
  • Two (2) - five (5) years Heavy transport category aircraft experience
  • B757, B767 Gen Fam, Avionics Training, Line Maintenance Experience


Physical Requirements:



  • Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Comply with ATI attendance requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Able to work at heights up to 80 feet
  • Work from ladders up to 10 feet
  • Climb up to 3 flights of stairs.
