Summary
The Director of Agency Management & Governance is a key leader within our Marketing Operations team, responsible for ensuring that our agency partnerships reflect our values, drive impact, and operate with excellence. This role is as much about the "how" as the "what"-ensuring that our ways of working foster collaboration, efficiency, and innovation while maintaining a culture of accountability and purpose.
You will oversee a global network of agencies, spanning creative, design, media, digital, shopper marketing, experiential, and production partners, ensuring alignment with our business goals and brand vision. Your leadership will bring a disciplined yet agile approach to how we manage our partners, ensuring that every agency we engage amplifies our mission, reflects our diverse communities, and contributes to long-term brand growth.
Responsibilities
Agency Strategy & Global Partnerships
- Lead the development and execution of a holistic agency management framework that fosters innovation, equity, and strategic alignment across our global network.
- Ensure that agency scopes of work (SOWs), structures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) drive both creativity and business outcomes.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously evaluate and optimize our agency mix, ensuring best-in-class creative and media performance.
- Champion diversity and inclusion in our agency selection and partnership strategies, holding agencies accountable for equitable representation and inclusive storytelling.
- Develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) process that ensures thought leadership and competitive bidding across our partnerships.
- Maintain a preferred vendor list with pre-negotiated terms, allowing for agility in deployment and efficiency in spend.
- Establish a structured onboarding process to ensure new agency partners integrate seamlessly and align with our brand values, goals, and operational standards.
Governance & Operational Excellence
- Develop and implement governance policies that ensure transparency, compliance, and operational efficiency in all agency relationships.
- Work closely with Legal, Procurement, and Finance to ensure agency contracts align with our brand, business needs, and ethical standards.
- Establish a performance review process that informs a preferred vendor list and rate card, ensuring that agency relationships evolve and improve over time.
- Drive continuous learning and knowledge sharing between agencies and internal teams to foster best practices and innovation.
Financial Stewardship & Value Optimization
- Standardize pricing models and implement data-driven insights to benchmark spend and optimize investment across agency partners.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process improvements without sacrificing quality, creativity, or agility.

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, agency management
- Deep understanding of agency dynamics across creative, media, digital, and shopper marketing disciplines.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, define performance metrics, and manage multi-agency ecosystems.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience optimizing marketing budgets and driving efficiency without compromising impact.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, fostering trust across internal teams and external partners globally.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
