Responsibilities:

*Lift and position metal parts on bench using hoist and store material is designated warehouse locations.
*Remove burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools.
*Verify correct quantities of parts are received, deburred, completed. Receives material from various modes of external transportation
*Loads and unloads bar stock, and machining parts sent out for additional treatment (i.e. black oxide, heat treat, chemical deburr) onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, with forklift, or other material handling device.
*Moves materials from storage, receiving area, or work sites to designated area (ex. to proper stock location, to inspection area, to machine cell).
*Moves and transacts material to work orders and attaches identifying tags to materials.
*Operates forklift, hand truck, and/or other material handling equipment to move material as required and processes inventory transactions to maintain BOH accuracy.
*Utilize barcode scanner to process inventory transactions and utilize barcode scanner to accomplish a cycle count.

Requirements:

*High school diploma or GED equivalent required
*Certification to operate a forklift or obtain forklift certification within 30 days
*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications which include word & excel
*2+ years of PIT (Power Industrial Truck) operator or material handling experience
*Previous experience using RF scan guns required

Core Competencies:

*Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, such as supervisory instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and work orders.
*Ability to effectively share information about job duties in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
*Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using all units of measure.
*Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
*Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

Preferences:

*Experience working with UPS & Fed Ex, preferred.

*This position will be fully site based at our facility in Mocksville, NC.
