Senior Program Manager, HR Technology

Summary:

Serves as the primary contact and program lead for HR technology transformation projects and leads cross functional development team activities to meet design requirements and program goals. Manages technology and portfolio delivery through multiple, simultaneous projects and internal stakeholders using hybrid agile approach. Focuses on HR systems, product management, and program management methodologies to deliver technical and operational excellence in service of outstanding employee experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Leadership of HR technology project portfolio and day-to-day contact with internal customers to ensure customer expectations for on-time delivery, quality and cost to achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction and responsiveness to changing business conditions.
  • Manages change in scope, customer requirements, design needs and internal resource priorities.
  • Significantly contribute and maintain a comprehensive, forward-looking HR technology roadmap that anticipates and addresses future business needs while enforcing product and people analytics strategy decisions.
  • Contributes and proposes delivery and resource approach with company ROI and opportunity costs in mind.
  • Utilizes agile methodologies to deliver value, implement HR technology solutions, deploy internal automation toolsets and solutions.
  • Oversees agile (e.g. scrum) ceremonies and generates project plans, stakeholder deliverables, and release strategy for large projects with inter-dependencies.
  • Manages consultant delivery for contracted project work, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines and statements of work.
  • Significantly contribute to optimizing the HR technology environment to be world-class, scalable and efficient. Analyzes and manages program performance to meet company objectives.
  • Facilitates and accountable for project management tool updates and Agile dashboards to provide transparent, predictable project performance insights.
  • Makes cross departmental resource managers aware of project needs for technical and business resources to ensure objectives are met. Ensures alignment with HR and IT Department goals and timelines.
  • Partner with HR leaders, and IT systems team members for acquisition integrations as applicable.
  • Leads or participates in process excellence strategies to continuously improve HR department and people processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other information:

Education and Experience

  • BS in Business, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 6-12 years of technical program management experience, with at least 5 years managing integrated internal software application projects, systems or development/engineering team delivery.
  • 5 years of experience with systems integrating high volume data management, process automation, user-centric design, reporting & analytics, and integration capabilities. (e.g Human Resource (HRIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Student Information (SIS), Performance Management, Learning Management (LMS), etc.)
  • Leadership experience and people management skills, including the ability to effectively coach and mentor employees at all levels. Previous experience of directly managing employees for at least 2 years preferred.
  • Hands on experience configuring software applications and ability to assist team members when needed.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concept and tools preferred.
  • Experience with Infor, Infor BIRST or Microsoft Power BI a plus.

  • Strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills, including influencing and communication skills (writing, oral and presentation) and the ability to build relationships with diverse groups and virtual environments.
  • Highly proficient in assessing and communicating risk, by thinking ahead to anticipate problems, solutions and communication strategy.
  • Exceptional ability to manage ambiguity, demonstrating comfort and effectiveness in uncertain, complex environments.
  • Excellent facilitation, active listening, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Applies product management and UI/UX strategies and skills.
  • Proficient using productivity, agile and project management tools such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Azure DevOps (or equivalent tools such as Jira, etc.) and Microsoft Project. Proficient with Microsoft power platform a plus.
  • Ability to drive solutions with complex planning issues with limited supervision and effective in multitasking.
  • Comfortable with, and advocates for growing AI skill set of self and team.

HYBRID/REMOTE WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work Hours: Must be available to work 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday with flexibility to support global business partners and team MST collaboration needs.
  • Home Office Setup: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
  • Communication Expectations: Daily stand-up meetings and regular collaboration sessions throughout the day via video calls.
  • Dependent care: Arrangements should be made to ensure dependents do not interfere with work responsibilities.
  • Adherence to Company Network Security: The network connection and access to company information must comply with all company security protocols to protect sensitive information.
  • Travel - may be required (up to 10%)
