Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a Director for International Programs. The Director for International Programs and Services reports directly to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and Student Success. This position will function as the Senior International Officer ( SIO) and will have the responsibility of assisting Rutgers University-Camden in becoming more internationally connected and engaged. The Director is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of the university's international programs and activities. This position provides leadership and vision to a comprehensive range of programs, services, and student recruitment initiatives. The Director will work closely with university leaders and external partners to expand and enhance the implementation of internationalization goals on campus.
A large initial responsibility of this role will be to establish, implement and routinely evaluate a strategic plan that places emphasis on the development of international partnerships and programs by increasing the recruitment of international students to Rutgers University-Camden, as well as developing goals, metrics and processes for retaining those students. A second emphasis of the strategic plan will be to increase opportunities for global learning and research experiences for the Rutgers University-Camden faculty and student body at large, through academic programming, engaged learning, study abroad opportunities and exchange programs, and partnerships that increase research opportunities.

Work Arrangement
Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Masters or doctorate required is required, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in higher education in recruitment, recruitment marketing, and/or internationalization experience in international partnership development, study aboard, or international recruitment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with coordinating international site visits with students, faculty, and senior administrators. Demonstrated expertise in working with faculty on internationalizing academic programs and curriculum.
