Milling Field Manager (Foreman) Job Locations

Responsibilities The Milling Field Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of milling operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in milling techniques, materials, equipment operation, team leadership, and safety protocols. The Milling Field Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure the successful completion of milling projects within established timelines and quality standards. They will be responsible for supervising and directing assigned crew members in preparing, executing, and finishing asphalt milling projects. This role is fast paced requires someone who can take ownership of their work, make informed decisions, and coordinate with and direct the activities of all job site crews, subcontractors, and material and equipment providers. Additionally, the candidate must effectively interface with clients, inspectors, regulatory representatives, and other key individuals within the organization. Technical: Means/Methods

Competencies: Technical: labor and equipment reporting, operations means and methods, preconstruction planning, quality control/assurance, safety policies and procedures, safe work procedures. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance. Occasionally requires the ability to sit, use hands/fingers, stoop, kneel and crouch. Frequently requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires the following specific types of vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to the following environmental conditions: wet and/or humid (non-weather) conditions, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, work with explosives and vibration. Subject to loud noise levels due to equipment operation.
