They will support and backup the Production Schedulers as needed. This person also works closely with customer service and production teams to manage incoming orders and inventories to deliver goods on time and in full to customers. Ensure customer satisfaction by scheduling orders to ship on time and in full quantity. Manage weekly machine and order planning to ensure maximum operational productivity. Work with customer service representatives to understand customer needs and prioritize schedules accordingly. Develop product cycle calendars for routine specification schedule blocks. Help balance and coordinate the manufacturing of orders based on material/capacity availability. Direct vendor contact for planning, allocating and purchasing materials using daily exception messages and vendor follow up reports. Coordinate timely material deliveries consistent with customer requirements and JIT logic and philosophy Coordinate with Technical, the use of alternate materials in service and developmental situations Manage materials program to meet business service goals. Plan appropriate stocking quantities and depletion protocols to minimize excess and obsolete inventory. Will serve as back up for other Operations Planning roles.
