Frame Development Lead

The Frame Development Lead (DL) is responsible for leading a team of engineers in the component and system design, development, and release of structural frame components and assemblies. The DL will be responsible for the development and execution of a work plan to achieve these component and system-level functional objectives. They will be responsible for the team's on-time delivery at each milestone from concept through vehicle launch including presenting progress to management and senior leadership. Project management key process indicators (KPI's) and cost/weight/investment (C/W/I) efficiency will be utilized to monitor success. Leadership responsibilities include component design (FMEA), analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), Product Assurance Plan (PAP), component validation (DVP&R), change management (CN), engineering bill of material (EBOM/CODEP), build support, issue management (GIMS), fastened joint design, and assembly torque development. The DL will oversee their team working with multiple groups (NVH, Vehicle Integration, Stress Lab, Safety, and Durability) to complete all validation and testing. They will ensure the proper documentation and storage of completed project records and support updates to core documents based on lessons learned.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree field.
  • 7 years of chassis structural engineering design and development experience in a product release environment.
  • Demonstrated team leadership abilities including the ability to set targets, evaluate/identify gaps to existing targets, and lead solution activity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
  • 5+ years of frame or structural chassis component engineering.
  • Direct leadership experience.
  • Experience with UG NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with Stellantis releasing system.
  • DFSS Green or Black Belt.
  • Experience with problem solving techniques such as Red-X.
