Job Summary: Responsible to safely operate blade to spread and level dirt, gravel and stone to grade specifications. Ability to function with Topcon GPS a bonus. Responsible for controlling trucks and where the material will be placed. Minimum Qualifications: EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: General education Grammar and arithmetic GED or High School diploma or equivalent Equipment maintenance & operation Ability to provide and maintain proper driver's license, medical card and acceptable driving record DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: Minimum of 5 years' experience Perform daily equipment walk around and site inspections Safely and properly operate blade Previous GPS operation experience beneficial Assist laborer or roller operator with dumping trucks and keeping load counts Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.) Performs other duties as assigned.
