Implementation Technical Consultant

Provide technical systems configuration and consulting for implementations of pharmacies on MPS technology which includes EnterpriseRx, its associated interfaces, hardware, forms and Point of Sale systems. The Technical Consultant will work in coordination with Implementation Managers, customers, and vendor resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customer resources on the strategy and planning around all hardware, software, and forms deployment as well as any interfaces tied to the Pharmacy Management System Implementation
  • Work closely with vendors and the customer to build, test and deliver interfaces to external 3rd party modules in conjunction with the Pharmacy System.
  • Collaborate with the customer on the strategy, preparation, and installation of all related hardware and peripherals and related configurations within the Pharmacy System.
  • Execute the Certification Process where an Interface or Hardware Component in scope for a customer Implementation is not currently Certified
  • Work closely with customer resources to develop, test and implement custom labels and forms for use within the Pharmacy System
  • Work with internal MPS teams to ensure the on-time build of hosted System environments and internal configurations to support related interfaces, modules and external feeds
  • Develop and Facilitate customer training and consulting sessions on hardware deployment, peripheral installation, software deployment, configuration, interface support, and forms development.
  • Provide Go Live Support as needed for Production Hardware, Software, Interfaces, and Forms
  • Provide add-on implementation services for interfaces, modules, hardware and forms to current MPS&A customers
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure Documentation for all functions
  • Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.

Education
4-year degree or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure

Microsoft MCP Certification and/or MCSE and/or A+ / Network + Certification desired

Critical Skills

  • 2+ years experience as a Technical Consultant for medium to large-sized B2B technology projects or related demonstrable skills and experience.
  • Implementation experience of MPS technologies is preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in desktop and networked systems support
  • Ability to successfully complete tasks independently or with minimal oversight.
  • Experience with Customer Service / Support
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and customer teams.
  • Facilitation Skills are required. (The candidate will be required to lead subject meetings, trainings, and consultations both internally and customer-facing)
  • Computer Networking experience
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Strong oral and written Communication Skills
  • Exposure to working managing projects through completion
  • Experience with on time delivery of projects and adherence to service level agreements and/or deadlines
  • 25% travel required

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Basic knowledge of systems & equipment installations
  • Knowledge of SQL Databases, XML/SOAP messaging and HL7 is desired
  • Project Management exposure

$26.78 - $44.64
