The Sleep Disorders Clinical Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, led by Dr. John Winkelman MD PhD, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator I to manage ongoing clinical studies and research projects. Our research is focused on sleep disorders, particularly Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), Insomnia, and Sleep Apnea. The Sleep Disorders Clinical Research Program seeks to improve the understanding of sleep disorders and the relationship of psychiatric disorders and sleep. We hope to translate these insights into improved treatments for these disorders. The clinical research coordinator will receive training and support from the outgoing clinical research coordinator, as well as guidance and supervision from the Principal Investigator, Dr. John Winkelman. We seek an enthusiastic candidate who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. The position offers significant learning opportunities for individuals interested in graduate studies in medical fields or psychology. It provides hands-on exposure to clinical research, patient interaction, and scientific writing in a leading medical research environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Research Coordinators are responsible for managing and coordinating the clinical studies as members of the research team. This involves screening patients for study eligibility, data entry and analysis, manuscript preparation, and other administrative tasks. Additional responsibilities include:
