Position Purpose
Under close supervision, the Custodian is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment at Coppola facilities. This role involves performing routine cleaning, maintenance, laundry and sanitation tasks to uphold the facility's hygiene standards and ensure a positive experience for staff, visitors, and guests. The custodian is also tasked with identifying and addressing minor repairs, maintaining supplies, and following safety protocols. Custodians play a vital role in maintaining the overall functionality and aesthetic appeal of the building while promoting a healthy and secure environment.
Essential Duties
- Communicates, interacts, and works effectively with others
- Responsible for operations of all laundry equipment and performs all duties; sorting, processing, cleaning, pressing, folding napkins, pool towels and staff uniforms
- Performs daily laundry and housekeeping operations efficiently and safe
- Disinfects restrooms, kitchens, and high-traffic areas
- Addresses spills and messes promptly to avoid accidents
- Ensures cleaning supplies and equipment are stored safely
- Utilizes cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines
- Follows all safety regulations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Handles hazardous or biohazard waste, following proper safety protocols
- Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors
- Empties trash and recycling bins, and replaces liners
- Maintains public outdoor trash receptacles
- Keeps track of cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies
- Dusts surfaces, furniture, and fixtures
- Cleans windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Performs basic repairs, such as unclogging drains and toilets
- Reports larger maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel
- Waxes and buffs floors as needed
- Spot-cleans carpets or utilizes carpet cleaning machines for deep cleaning
- Assists in setting up meetings or events and restoring the space afterward
- Supports landscape with projects, pressure washing, and manual watering duties around the pool.
- Supports Facilities Maintenance with special projects such as painting, confined space attendants, fire watch, and pest control

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School diploma, GED equivalent, or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Ability to effectively manage time and tasks
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers verbally and in writing
- Ability to make sound decisions that comply to company policies when dealing in adverse situations
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Demonstrates ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt and be flexible with work schedule and daily duties
- Ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with clients, carriers, coworkers and management
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant/production floor, winery, restaurant, and pool environment
- Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations

The pay range for this position is $16.50 to $23.03. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
