APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Administration, Commonwealth Campuses, the Compliance Specialist will provide oversight for the Commonwealth Campus high school dual credit program, ensuring compliance with policies AD39 (defines child/minor, authorized adult, and mandated reporting), AD72 (reporting suggested child abuse), and HR99 (background checking process). Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Education and experience: This position will be filled at the Advanced Professional level and minimally requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills are essential, as is attention to detail. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and a demonstrated ability to provide culturally competent and inclusive services for students from historically underrepresented communities is also required. Demonstrated record of successful collaboration involving multiple constituencies and the ability to promote a culture that is conducive to effective relationships among diverse team members geographically dispersed is needed. Successful candidate must also have the ability to interpret and communicate policies, processes, data, information and instructions both verbally and in writing, adapting new solutions into group processes. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is desired. Occasional travel to campuses may be required. The following background checks must be successfully completed for this position: This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. The successful candidate may be required to travel to campuses, as needed. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to clearances. CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
