The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is seeking a highly organized and experienced Operations Manager to play a crucial role in supporting the Division of Clinical Research and Analytics (CRA). Responsibilities

  • Manage entire life cycle of domestic 6-month and 1-day QTP workshops including:develop, document, and implement optimizedstandardsand precedentsfor staff, faculty, coaches, and participantsto deliver a streamlined user experience while maximizing ROI for both ASCO and participants.

  • Manageand drivepractice recruitment strategy for upcoming sessionsin coordination withkey stakeholders.

  • Work to improve and streamline application framework and process.

  • Collect and track data (project and evaluation), leveraging client feedback to drive improvement of QTP programming.

  • Manage, track, and maintain expense and invoice commitments.

  • Understand and anticipatestakeholderneeds, adapting to address unmet needs.

  • Identifypitfalls and build QTP resilience to ensure high-quality programming.

  • Ensure high-quality programming through the review and collaboration of faculty materials and managing inputs from stakeholders.

  • Manage meeting planning process includingspace, supplies, logistics, budget compliance, and coordination with participants, faculty, coaches, and host sitesif needed.

  • Position course content foraudience/format changesbased on ASCO leadership's strategic plan, ensuring scalability of existing frameworkand content.

  • Manage interdisciplinary teams for special projects (e.g. workload, timeline, staff training, deliverables, and follow-up).

  • Engage stakeholders in new projects and initiatives while streamlining interdepartmental processes to maximize member benefit while decreasingvolunteer andstaff burden.

  • Develop and manage a communications and marketing plan to include e-mail communications and other strategies to reach target audiences.

  • Manageand streamline the updating andprocessing of contracts, COIs, and other legal agreements to maintain a current and accurate record in coordination with Legal department.

  • Manage day-to-day QTP operationsincluding: updates and maintenance ofASCO's QTP website, coordinating messaging with marketing, working with IMTon functionality and content issues/concerns.

  • Serve as main point of contact for program inquires and QTP email inbox.

  • Coordinate weekly team meetings to include agenda.

  • Coordinate virtual meetings including necessary reports and meeting materials andsteering groupmember rotation processes.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Business, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 4 - 5 years of experience in nursing, pharmacy or practice administration,coordination, and reporting

  • Strong quality program experience and demonstration of new program development skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

PreferredEducation and Experience

  • MBA, MHA, or a Master's degree in a related discipline

  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist

  • Oncology Certified Nurse

  • Superior communication skills including written, with ability to clearly communicate, convey and receive information in different ways to all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and to complete a high volume of work and meet deadlines with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Superb analytical skills and ability to think things through, anticipate solutions and next steps, and see the bigger picture, while offering fresh ideas
