The CNC set-up Operator will operate, change over and set-up CNC machines on low to medium complexity components using automated and manual equipment and processes to meet end customer needs. This is an entry-level Set-Up position that draws on prior machining experience and technical problem-solving skills to operate, change over and set-up a minimum of two (2) types of Primary CNC equipment. Works both independently and in a team environment with internal team members, leads, supervisors, quality CNC Programming and Manufacturing Engineering. Also responsible for communicating with management. Available shifts: Exeter: (Lathes) 1st: M-F 530a - 130p 2nd: M-F 130p - 945p Job Duties & Responsibilities: Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position. Operate, change over and set-up a minimum of 2 types of primary CNC equipment within the time allotted by planning/Operator Standard Work. Complete all operational processes, checklists and procedures as required. Identify and assemble cutting tools and tool holder assemblies based on existing process documentation. Prepare all tooling, fixturing and program prove out for the machines. Pick-up work offsets. Education/Experience & Skills: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of demonstrated CNC experience with a minimum One (1) year as a level III Operator Must be able to convey ideas and information clearly, concisely, and accurately to others in English, both verbally and in written form. Must have a professional and respectful attitude. Capable of adjusting and calculating feeds and speeds and apply knowledge of G and M codes. Why Choose SIG SAUER?
