Software Developer - Hybrid in Durham, NC

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to design, develop, and implement application solutions. This role will focus on supporting and enhancing platforms related to workflow management, secure data transport, customer service software, and financial transaction services. The ideal candidate will collaborate with technical teams to define system architecture, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvements.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work three days a week in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze system components, recommend modernization strategies, and implement improvements.
  • Conduct requirement analysis for product changes and develop software solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to identify and implement necessary system changes.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for production issues related to assigned systems.
  • Perform defect analysis and propose system enhancements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of system processes and changes.
  • Work with change control teams to deploy system updates.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with business teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in system analysis, database development, and application development, including web services.
  • Experience with insurance administrative platforms and DTCC-related systems is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong background in supporting applications within the insurance or financial domain.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships across teams.
