Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a collaborative and detailed individual to join our Quality team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Engineering and Inspection teams, ISO audits, drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma Methodologies and lean practices and developing quality management programs for internal staff, suppliers, customers, and partners with initiatives to reengineer processes and methods to ensure company objectives of cost, efficiency, and quality are met in a manufacturing facility. A Quality Manager works with a team to lead all quality engineering activities and direct quality control programs while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, efficient, a problem solver and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and prioritize work assignments and workloads of team members
- Address personnel matters and disciplinary issues
- Report out quality metrics to management and other business segments
- Drive corrective action to facilitate improvements
- Provide direct leadership to Quality staff by leading, managing, supporting and coaching members ensuring continual development of competencies
- Increase efficiency by problem solving using lean tools and preventing problem recurrence
- Maintain compliance ISO Quality System to make sure all deliverables are met for customer and regulatory compliance
- Oversee and maintain all audits, compliance questions, and investigation and resolution of quality issues
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, preferred
- 7+ years' experience in Quality, manufacturing with 5+ years of supervisory experience, preferred
Preferred:
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager certification, a plus
- Understanding of effective quality systems and methodologies and their impact on both the internal and external business environments
- Self-starter, work with minimal supervision and exemplify strong leadership and communication skills
- Have a strong understanding of the financial impact of CoPQ (cost of poor quality) in total cost terms
- Experience in reading blueprints, and use of a CMM (Coordinate Measuring machines)
- Knowledge of ductile iron castings, precision machining, sheet metal, and finishing, a plus
- Understanding and experience with use of various metrology measurement devices (handheld gages, such as micrometers and calipers, optical comparators, and Keyence coordinate measurement machines)
- Ability to operate precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, comparator, and others
- Demonstrated time management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability
- Proficient computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials (SSO), JD Edwards, Minitab, and Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
- Site based, with 10% travel domestic and international to customers and suppliers
- Climate controlled manufacturing plant

Pay Range
The pay range for this role is $95,800-$140,000 excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
