What we need:

We are adding a Manager, IT Product Manager to our team. The IT Product Manger (Infor CPQ) will take ownership of ourInfor CPQ (Configure Price Quote)platform while leveraging knowledge ofCPQ to enhance integration and functionality. This role will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that the CPQ platforms meet business objectives, streamline quoting processes, and deliver a seamless user experience.

This role is also a Center of Excellence (CoE) leader. The CoE will drive innovation, standardization, and best practices in IT-related areas. It serves as a hub of expertise, providing leadership, guidance, and support to improve technology solutions, processes, and alignment with business goals

Working at HNI:

This position is a team leader whose responsibilities will include people leadership, as well as technical, strategic, and functional leadership duties. This position requires regular on-site presence in our Muscatine office location (3+ days a week).

Visa sponsorship is available for this position, in addition to relocation assistance. Candidates seeking a remote work arrangement or who cannot be physically present in our Muscatine, IA offices on a weekly basis will not be considered.

What you'll do:

Strategic Product Management:

  • Own the development, roadmap, and overall strategy for Infor CPQ.

  • Leverage knowledge of Infor CPQ to advise on best practices and integration opportunities.

  • Work with stakeholders to define product goals, prioritize features, and manage the product backlog.

  • Generate Bills of Materials for ATO & CTO models for Manufacturing (into Oracle EBS).

Business Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and operations, to gather requirements and align solutions with business goals.

  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable product specifications.

  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment and user adoption.

  • Be the main technology point of contact for any technical and solution architecture questions.

Implementation and Integration:

  • Oversee configuration and customization of Infor CPQ to meet specific business needs.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between Infor CPQ and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).

  • Review deliverables from the off-shore development team.

  • Drive testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of CPQ platforms.

Change Management and Training:

  • Provide leadership and training by developing and communicating configuration and pricing design and strategies.

  • Establish and promote industry-standard methodologies, tools, and processes across IT teams.

  • Ensure consistency in technology implementations and operations.

  • Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users and stakeholders.

Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze usage data and feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and CPQ platform advancements to maintain a competitive edge.

CoE Leadership

  • Establish and promote industry-standard methodologies, tools, and processes across IT teams.

  • Ensure consistency in technology implementations and operations.

  • Pilot new technologies and determine their feasibility and business value.

  • Define policies and guidelines to ensure IT systems comply with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

  • Monitor adherence to security, data privacy, and operational frameworks.

  • Act as a knowledge repository, sharing insights, tools, and lessons learned across the organization.

  • Serve as a resource for project teams, offering technical expertise and tools to optimize execution.

  • Use analytics and reporting to identify areas for improvement.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role with a focus on CPQ systems.

  • At least 3+ years of CPQ development experience

  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with any leading teams or implementations

  • Expertise inInfor CPQimplementation, management, and customization.

  • Knowledge ofOracle including integration and feature comparison.

  • Strong functional knowledge of CPQ functionality.

  • Strong understanding of sales and quoting processes in a B2B environment.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in understanding the product hierarchy and product capabilities

  • Good knowledge of web services (SOAP/REST with XML/JSON) and how they can be utilized in CPQ toolset

  • Must be well versed with writing the CPQ rules for constraints, hiding, validations & recommendations

  • Able to write configuration rules to derive the respective quantities and pricing for each model and/or part.

  • Good understanding of DBMS concepts

  • Good understanding of release planning, source control & deployments in SDLC

  • Hands on C#.Net development experience

  • Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft IIS (Web Server)

  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities (root cause analysis and problem resolution)

  • Demonstrates professional behavior when communicating and working with members, vendors and/or customers. Promotes effective communication and interaction among departments. Clearly and concisely expresses professional opinions with supporting rationale.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
