As the Senior Director, Retail Data Partnerships, you will work on a highly impactful team focused on driving one of TTD's most strategic initiatives - retail data. You will be creating best-in-class working relationships with top retailers, helping maximize the value they see in working with TTD and helping fuel client adoption of their data and measurement services.

Responsibilities include the development of new partnerships and solutions, strategic partner management, exploration of expansion opportunities, modification and amendment of partner agreements, and responsibility to ensure all aspects of the partnership are working well (product, integrations, sales enablement, etc.). The ideal candidate must enjoy an entrepreneurial and rapidly shifting environment.We are looking for someone who thrives on having a significant impact and building new capabilities through partnerships and innovation.

What we do:



  • Drive strategic growth of our retailers' offsite and self-serve business. This includes ongoing management across a dedicated portfolio of newly established & existing retail partnerships. Additionally, executive-level partnership & relationship-building, providing thought leadership & perspective to drive the retailer's business forward, along with supporting go-to-market initiatives with internal The Trade Desk and external retailer sales team leads.
  • Drive adoption of retail data across advertiser and agency partners. This includes education and evangelization of the power of Retail Data within overarching audience strategies and across full-funnel programmatic activations and within larger measurement frameworks.


What you'll do:



  • Own the retailer partnership strategy based on industry knowledge & partnership opportunities, building toward a "Gold Star" best in class solution


  • Manage strategic retail partnerships to maximize their value and success in working with TTD


  • Develop new relationships with retailers and help them initiate, stand up and grow their retail data business in partnership with TTD


  • Drive optimal relationship structure for partnerships in conjunction with Product, Business Development, Client Services, Legal, Finance and other internal stakeholders


  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with management and with partners to report on status and future opportunities


  • Build success metrics for partnerships and monitor progress & success against those KPIs


  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to partnerships (demands, strategies, roadmaps, operational requirements)


  • Identify partnership opportunities; collect feedback on existing/potential utilization from agency teams


  • Manage partnership integration, including regular interface with internal teams


  • Work with go-to-market teams to evangelize, educate and grow the use of the partners' offerings


  • Support sales enablement efforts related to the partnership and overall retail data strategy, with both internal team and with TTD clients (agencies and advertisers) as a subject matter expert



Who you are:



  • 7+ years of experience creating and building differentiated relationships with strategic partners, ideally in the retail and optimally the CPG retail space


  • Experience with strategic partner account management


  • Experience with contracts and vendor negotiations


  • Expertise in Shopper Marketing and/or Brand Marketing and Retail Media


  • Experience in digital media required; Familiarity with the adtech landscape & data companies highly preferred


  • Excellent judgement & acute sense of self-awareness


  • Self-motivated problem-solver comfortable wearing different hats


  • Proven communication, questioning, and listening skills in formal and informal settings


  • Comfort with fast-paced, dynamic working environment with shifting priorities


  • Ability to build excellent rapport with internal (Legal, Finance, Product) and external stakeholders; strong teamwork is a must


  • Must be comfortable with complexity and thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrated use of critical thinking techniques

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$181,400 $274,900 USD
