Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Family Planning, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Instructor - Women's Health Nurse Practitioner for a 1.0 FTE benefited position with its Community Practice office. This is an ambulatory position including both obstetric and gynecological care.

The Division of Family Planning is an academic practice model that works collaboratively within the UCHealth and CU system. We offer patients many services including individualized care, through collaboration with our UCHealth and CU Partners. The WHNP will be part of an academic clinical practice that has a long and successful history within the University of Colorado system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person and telehealth care in the outpatient setting.
• Utilize limited obstetric ultrasound skills in the outpatient setting.
• Perform obstetric exams with identification of problems complicating pregnancy
• Attend monthly practice meetings
• Participate in practice development, promotion, and community outreach.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is in Denver, Colorado

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

• Current Colorado RN, APN and RxN licensures in good standing
• Meets and maintains the requirements of the Nursing Credential Review Board for the Advanced Practice Nurse.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of clinical experience in a WHNP Setting
• Spanish speaking
• Prior ultrasound experience - TVUS
• LARC experience

Conditions of Employment:

• Must be willing and able to provide full-scope contraceptive services and counseling on abortion services.
• Must be willing and able to complete CAQH and all credentialing requirements before the date of hire.
• Must be willing and able to obtain current BLS/CPR certification by date of hire.
• Must be willing and able to actively participate in health plan contracts.
• Must be willing and able to remain credentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials stay current.
• Must be willing and able to work in a normal patient care environment with some exposure to biological hazards and infectious diseases.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a current DEA license within 18 months of hire.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$105,185.00 - 117,832.00 annually at Instructor of Clinical Practice/ WHNP at 1.0 FTE

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
