Summary:
Supports customer manufactured product requirements 24/7 at customer site. May provide service remotely if feasible and compatible with customer's expectations.

Responsibilities:
* Support on-site verification of customer's discrepant material report; accurate disposition and resolution
* Manage material/inventory and coordinate discrepant material back to original sites
* May process invoices to customer for reconfiguration work and customer faults' Discrepant Material Record (DMR)
* Provide accurate and timely quality report/data to respective sites
* Participate in quality improvement meetings/support containment activities
* Aim to achieve quality goals
* May install, repair and upgrade manufactured products utilizing electronics knowledge, as required
* Consult directly with customer to understand nature of repair or upgrade and regularly status customer on progress and resolution of situation
* Study schematics, manuals and other specifications to determine nature of work to be accomplished
* Operate system/tests, printed circuit boards to analyze malfunctions and interpret documentation
* Instruct/train both in-house support personnel and customer representatives, in service, repair and operation of products
* Consult with engineering to resolve more complex issues
* May supervise employees in engineering or production, based on analysis of field results, and return to obtain optimum performance
* May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance and recommendations for product improvements
* All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.

Other information:
* 4 year Engineering or technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management; 5+ years of hands-on field service engineering experience
* Skillful in technical troubleshooting
* Effective organizational and prioritization skills
* Effective interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to complete projects in a timely manner
* Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation, as required
* Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism when representing the company
* Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills
* Ability to work individually or in teams
* Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools
* Ability to travel, including day or overnight travel, as required
* Participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up with the team in a presentation format
* Demonstrate the ability to solve and document moderately complex cross-departmental issues using structured problem solving tools
* Possess good written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation skills for internal and external customers
* Demonstrate engineering level understanding of electronic components, circuits and systems or mechanical components and systems, depending upon education and related experience and background
* Effective organizational and prioritization skills
* Effective interpersonal skills
* Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time, including day or overnight travel both domestically and internationally, as required

Compensation Range: $62,086.000 to $93,129.000 USD Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
