Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a part time Unit Administrator/ Specialist for the International Students Office. This person will serve as a Designated School Official (
DSO) to support international student compliance with F-1 visa regulations. Process and issue immigration documents (initial, program extensions, reduced course load,
OPT and 24 Month
STEM extensions I-20s) and issue related documents such as social security letters. Complies with federal
SEVIS reporting and record keeping requirements. Track submissions and respond to inquiries/requests by email or via Sunapsis from students. Maintain accurate student records and ensure
SEVIS compliance.
*This position assignment ends no later than July 31, 2025. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
*Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
*Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Previous
DSO experience. Minimum of two years advising F-1 students with recent experience in an international student office. Experience with
OPT and
STEM
OPT applications to
USCIS. Experience with complex immigration cases submitted to
SEVP and
USCIS. Experience with immigration compliance and data reporting in
SEVIS and Sunapsis. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (as required by
SEVP for
DSO eligibility). |
