Basic Function

As a key enabler to delivering against the organization's strategic priorities, a fit-for-purpose Operating Model (OM) is an imperative for LYB to improve effectiveness of service delivery, drive efficiency with scalable fixed costs, and enable the organization with modern technologies, all of which are essential to support LYB's evolving asset footprint, emerging business models, and focus on stepping up performance and culture.

LYB aims to transform the enterprise operating model through leveraging industry-standard E2E processes, establishing a corporate services platform with aligned organizational design and unified data infrastructure, and simplifying our ERP core with out-of-the-box technology solutions; this approach also constructs the process, technology, and organizational foundation for future capabilities.

Delivering a transformation of this scale requires hands-on coordination of workflow design, system readiness, and milestone tracking. Reporting to the Program Director - LYB Operating Model Transformation, the S2P Track Project Lead is responsible for bridging strategic objectives with tactical execution, addressing operational challenges, and ensuring key milestones are met to deliver measurable outcomes. To achieve this, the Track Project Lead works closely with Platform Process Owners (PPOs) to align execution efforts with strategic priorities and maintain consistency across end-to-end workflows. This role focuses on aligning workflows with SAP S/4HANA capabilities to enhance procurement efficiency, simplify workflows, and optimize cost savings.

Key activities the S2P Track Project Lead will directly lead and/or support include designing and validating procurement workflows, managing system testing for operational readiness, and tracking key performance metrics such as procurement cycle time, supplier compliance, and cost savings realization. This role ensures that Source-to-Pay workflows align with LYBOM's broader vision for a streamlined and scalable operating model.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

1. Supporting the design and alignment of Source-to-Pay workflows:

  • Collaborate to develop standardized workflows that align with SAP S/4HANA capabilities and organizational goals
  • Validate procurement processes to ensure compliance with global standards and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and scalability
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment to address interdependencies between sourcing, procurement, and payment workflow

2. Managing system testing and deployment readiness:

  • Support deployment activities by resolving testing issues, validating system functionality, and preparing workflows for integration across business units
  • Act as a liaison for addressing operational challenges and facilitating feedback loops between functional teams and technical stakeholders

3. Monitoring and optimizing workflow performance:

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as procurement cycle time, supplier compliance, and cost savings realization to ensure workflows deliver measurable value
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously refine workflows based on performance data, testing outcomes, and operational feedback
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and overall process performance

4. Facilitating collaboration and change management:

  • Work closely with the S2P Track Advisor and GPO to ensure process alignment with LYB's transformation goals and address any risks or roadblocks
  • Engage stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, and IT to foster collaboration and support the adoption of new workflows
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth integration and operational readiness for all S2P processes
