Overview

Join the HJF Team!

HJF is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow with strong interests in translational cancer research to join a dynamic research team.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for conducting research projects in collaboration with a research team consisting of scientific and clinical investigators. Candidates should have strong interests in single-cell and spatial genomics and epigenomics, and molecular and cell biology with a strong computational and bioinformatics skillset. Incumbent exercises technical discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project strategies, and performs computational analysis for single-cell and spatial genomics and epigenomics, and interpretation of results.

This position will be in support of Dr. Xiaofeng Allen Su laboratory at the Murtha Cancer Center Research Program's (MCCRP) Center for Prostate Disease Research (CPDR). The Su lab focuses on how genomic instability and tumor-specific aneuploidy influences prostate cancer development. The lab aims to elucidate in-depth molecular mechanisms in the field of (but not limited to) DNA damage repair, genomic instability, 3D genome dynamics, cancer metabolism and cancer immunology. CPDR has a close collaboration with National Cancer Institute (NCI) - Genitourinary Malignancies Branch (GMB), where Dr. Su also has an adjunct appointment.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.
