JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Strategic and Technical Pricing is responsible for maintaining Sun Country's competitiveness against other airlines at all times and in all markets. This position will develop and execute pricing strategies and monitor pricing. This position is also responsible for all technical aspects of pricing infrastructure in ATPCO and Navitaire.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Formulate and execute short, medium, and long-term pricing strategies based on analysis of the company's past performance and future bookings to ensure competitiveness, optimal revenue and achieve long-term brand enhancement goals
  • Manage and develop Pricing team by promoting a culture of open dialogue to share learnings and encourage the development of the team to improve revenue outcomes
  • Serve as company subject matter expert on all aspects of pricing in Navitaire and ATPCO
  • Work in conjunction with Revenue Management team to optimize fare structures and implement tactical pricing initiatives to achieve yield and load factor targets
  • Partner and manage relationships with various internal and external constituencies including but not limited to: Marketing, E-Commerce, Reservations, Finance, Revenue Accounting, IT, and software vendors
  • Collaborate with Network Planning and Scheduling team to ensure scheduled capacity is optimized for the current and forecasted demand environment
  • Present data in a clear and concise manner to ensure understanding across all levels of the organization
  • Set and achieve departmental goals, develop, mentor, and evaluate team members
  • Assist in tactical pricing management as necessary
  • Other duties assigned by management

Leads and develops Senior Analysts and Analysts

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 5 years of airline pricing experience
  • Proven ability to successfully lead a team
  • 3+ years' experience pricing and revenue management
  • Proven ability to lead projects in a complex, analytical, deadline-driven environment
  • Expert level of analysis and reporting in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
  • Strong written & verbal communication with the ability to express complex topics clearly
  • Familiarity with Pricing workflow in Navitaire, ATPCO, and all other relevant Pricing systems
  • Deep understanding of the strategic application of airline economics and revenue management science


PREFERRED SKILLS



  • ULCC airline experience
  • Power BI
  • Possess the ability to identify problems and opportunities and produce and present high-quality presentations to senior management


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.
