To be considered for up to a three-year appointment, candidates should provide at least three years of evaluation as instructor of record illustrating high quality teaching effectiveness. We seek a candidate with a strong and developing national reputation, one who demonstrates curiosity in emerging technologies and novel methodological approaches. In regard to specialization, the search is open, but we are particularly interested in candidates with relevant research and teaching experience in International Development and/or Sustainability. To be considered, candidates should have a Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., History, Political Science, International Relations, World Languages and Literatures, or Geography) and demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will teach classes consisting of introductory courses in International and Global Studies and some courses related to their specific field of study within the parameters of our current concentrations (European and Transatlantic Affairs; Peace, Security, and Human Rights; Global South). But the entire world is our classroom. Our faculty and students draw on multiple disciplinary perspectives to study the processes and outcomes of global integration, the theory and practice of international relations, and the dynamics of cultural exchange. Along the way, we explore global issues, including migration flows and refugee crises, the challenges of economic development, food security and sovereignty, and conflict and peacebuilding, among many others. Our majors are students who have an interest in international affairs, who want a degree with an interdisciplinary focus, who wish to learn, work, or serve in an international or intercultural environment.
