      , United States Job Description  JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the set-up and start-up of production jobs as required to meet schedules and customer commitments. The set-up tech will have the ability and knowledge to change over shaft, CNC turning and induction heat-treat equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
     
 Maintains cycle process integrity with the direction of the production supervisorWorks with support department to ensure tools, machines and processes are optimizedRecommends and implements changes and improvements to cycles, processes and procedures to maintain schedules and quality partsMaintain documentation and paperwork to support production cycles and procedures Works directly with process technicians to suggest improvements in processes and proceduresWorks with machine operators to improve current processes and proceduresPerforms set-ups, samples and other production related duties to maintain production schedules Assists with training as necessaryAbility to read machine dial gauges, blueprints and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of partsFollow safety policies and report unsafe working conditionsAny other duties assigned by supervisor, such as operating production line
 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:  
     
 3 - 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment dealing with the operation of CNC equipmentFamiliarity of metrics, blueprint reading, micrometers, calipers, Rockwell and induction preferredPrior experience with set-up of gauging and programmable automation helpfulPrior technical training desiredExcellent verbal & written communications skillsGood problem solving skillsCapable of learning various softwareHigh School Diploma
 Requirements  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
     
 Good Vision:
 
      
 Ability to inspect machinery, read blueprints, and spot small issues or wear.Near-vision for adjusting machinery parts and reading dials.
 
 Manual Dexterity and Hand-Eye Coordination:
 
      
 Skill with tools for assembly, calibration, and equipment adjustment.
 
 
     
 
      
 Precision in handling small components.
 
 Physical Strength and Stamina:
 
      
 Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.Endurance for standing, walking, and manual labor (bending, reaching, kneeling).

 Efficient movement around the workspace, with awareness of hazards.Comfort with PPE (safety goggles, gloves, etc.) and adherence to safety protocols.
 
 Adaptability to Environmental Conditions:
 
      
 Ability to work in varying temperatures, noisy environments, and confined spaces.

 Technical Knowledge:
 
      
 Understanding of machine operation, troubleshooting, and setup.Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
