RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations

Measure, manage, and troubleshoot the selection, deployment, and maintenance of any data integration tools, i.e. cloud or on-premise

  • Develop the semantic layer, metadata, PowerBI reports, and report definitions
  • Administration of database servers including but not limited to scale, performance, implementation and troubleshooting
  • Administration of PowerBI workspaces, lifecycle and embedded services.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Development & Implementation

  • Execute, monitor, and QA ETL and DevOps work items related to integration of new data and data stores into existing systems and infrastructure throughout the enterprise, including introduction of Cloud services as applicable
    • Develop database/data warehouse components, including hardware, relational database management systems, ETL software, metadata management tools, and database design solutions
    • Hold responsibilities in data warehouses and/or data marts used for reporting or to support decision making including tabular and dimensional models
    • Hold some responsibilities in master data management services and development.
    • Experiment with new technologies to solve business problems.
    • Participate in building new ecosystems for business value.

    Opportunities

    • Candidate will expand skillsets in Analytics, Machine Learning and AI
    • Candidate will grow skills in Powerbi, DAX, R, and other related Analytical expressions.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Basic:

    • Significant strength with n-tier applications, databases, and data warehouses, such as MS SQL, Db2, MariaDB, and no-SQL databases.
    • Experience with data modeling data quality and Master Data Management principles and practices.
    • Knowledge in ADF, SSIS, PowerBI and excel.
    • Understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices
    • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function

    Preferred:

    • 1-5 years of experience in related job function, or advanced degree and/or superior technical skills.
    • Strength in Db2, ADF, Synapse/Spark, working with large datasets
    • Strength in PowerBI, DAX, R, PowerBI
    • Strength in data warehouse methodologies and data modeling, tabular, and multidimensional
    • Knowledge of DevOps, GitOps, ML Ops, ML and AI
    • Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terriform
