We are actively seeking a talented Sr. Systems Analyst to join our Distribution Partner Integration (DPI) team in the Consumer Markets Division, based in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be hybrid As a Sr. Systems Analyst, you will play an important role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by enabling annuity product sales and servicing on the industry's Order Entry platforms. In addition, you will support and enhance the exchange between Pacific Life and our Distribution Partners using various industry standards. You will fill an existing role on DPI's Data team, consisting of eight people. Your colleagues on the DPI team include analysts, developers, and QA, and you will work closely with technologists across the organization and business partners such as key account managers. How you will make an impact:
- Leverage your insurance industry/technology experience and analytical skills to identify and propose data strategy opportunities and facilitate data integration efforts between internal and external stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional project deployments; communicate/socialize project objectives and benefits to business and technology partners
- Leverage strong data analytics background to administer and mature reporting capabilities using available reporting tools; create/validate/maintain reporting standards, to ensure data integrity
- Represent Pacific Life on industry forums by actively participating in discussions, documenting key topics, identifying opportunities for influencing outcomes; coordinate responses on Pacific Life's behalf
- Through partnership with internal business and technology teams, assess automation opportunities, and recommend process, product, or service enhancements
- Solve unique or complex problems and identify innovative solutions that have a broad impact on the business
The experience you will bring:
- 8+ years experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an application development environment focusing on complex integrations, and a minimum of 3 years business analysis experience in financial services
- Working knowledge of DTCC and ACORD annuity industry standards; DST Fanmail a plus
- Demonstrated ability to form meaningful partnerships (internal/external) at all organizational levels resulting in practical solutions to complex problems
- Excellent problem solving, root cause analysis, critical and strategic thinking skills
What will make you stand out:
- Experience in the Annuity and/or Life Insurance space
- Applied experience working with DTCC data structures and policy admin systems integration
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and business data flows within annuity administration ecosystem
- Proponent of Agile approaches, with the ability to succeed in a hybrid SDLC model
- Experience mentoring team members on analyst/industry best practices
- Experience with FIDx/Envestnet or similar third-party platforms
- Experience in the Life Insurance, Mutual Funds, and/or Institutional space
- Industry Forum experience with Insurance Retirement Institute (IRI) OpsTech group, DTCC/I&RS Advisory and Pilot working groups
- Tableau and snowflake experience (SQL a plus)
- BS in Business/Technology concentration or equivalent experience

The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
