Customer Care Summer Intern - Wappingers Falls, NY

Position Overview:

Are you a detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for customer service and logistics? Laerdal Medical is looking for a Customer Care Intern, focusing on Order Management to join our dynamic team! Based out of our Wappingers Falls, NY office, this role offers hands-on experience in order processing, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration-all while helping to deliver life-saving solutions to our customers. Responsibilities:

  • Process Mapping & Workflow Optimization - Research, analyze, and visually map the end-to-end lifecycle of customer orders and returns to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Data Analysis & Documentation - Collect and document process details, ensuring accuracy and clarity in workflows while maintaining up-to-date records of order management and return procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with customer service, logistics, warehouse operations, and finance teams to validate process accuracy and feasibility.
  • Continuous Improvement & Best Practices - Identify gaps, recommend process enhancements, and develop guidelines for maintaining an optimized order and return management system.
  • Communication & Reporting - Present findings, create user-friendly documentation, and provide structured recommendations to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Intern must be available to commit to the entire summer internship (approximately May - August) and work five days a week in the Wappingers Falls, NY office (with reliable transportation and local housing).
  • Experience or coursework in process improvement, logistics, or data analysis is a plus.
  • Prior exposure to workflow documentation, business process modeling, or operations analysis is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines while working independently or within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Open-minded with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments, gather insights, and communicate findings effectively.

Pay Rate: $18 per hour
