This position will be a key contact to proactively provide superior customer service to our customers. Your role and responsibilities include inspecting, testing products for conformity assessment within international regulations including related client and project management. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with conformity testing experience, ideally with European Directive field and who wants to add value to our organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

Act as Project Handler of products for TUV SUD America; inspect, test, and document products for conformity assessment with international regulations, with the end result being the certificate of conformance for the client;

Prepare reports and documentation for certification of customer products to the appropriate standards. Generate revenue by billing engineering time to our clients, usually on a project basis, for Constructional Review, Testing, Preliminary Evaluations and Certifications activities;

Perform factory inspections and field evaluation services to NFPA, UL, ANSI and CSA requirements for related products;

Keep abreast of present and future Product Safety requirements, test procedures, instrumentation, technology and TUV America Engineering service capabilities by internal training sessions, external seminars and reading of technical articles.

Travel to customers locations and perform testing and evaluation of products as required.

Your qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required, or equivalent;

Technical knowledge of product safety testing;

A minimum of 2 years product safety experience is preferred;

Knowledge of European Directives and international standards is preferred;

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, e.g. Word, Excel, etc.
